To be fair, only 2 today, otherwise it would be “most tick”. Nitro was pretty good off road today.

I was at my parents’ the other day. My mom had taken one of their dogs out on a walk through some conservation land. My dad pulled 8 ticks off the dog, and when he was done, I found 7 more (and I have my doubts I got them all) . It’s a small dog, so that’s some pretty good density.

Eeeeeuuuuughhhhhhhhhh. The bite I got 6 weeks ago still itches and I pulled that fucker off the second I got home. I need to buy a spray bottle of permethrin and get my hiking boots and a pair of pants before I go into the woods again for work.

Anytime you get a fever from a summer cold make sure to get a Lyme check. It’s like Syphilis in that it has different phases and if you catch it early on its much easier to treat.

I’ll keep an eye out for redness on the bites. Fortunately, although equally gross, our native tick species aren’t of the l yme carrying varieties. One or two show up every year, brought in by birds or vehicles but no population of them.

I live in NJ and Lyme carrying ones are all over (they get it from mice or deer). I don’t think we have the ones that carry the enzyme or something that makes some people no longer able to eat red meat.

I would say no you are not. I’m not going to post a photo of my body to prove it because Oppo doesn’t deserve it but...no you are not.
